Epiroc acquires South African parts provider Eventspec Proprietary Limited

Epiroc has entered into an agreement to acquire the business operations of Eventspec Proprietary Limited, a well-established provider of mining aftermarket solutions in South Africa. Eventspec specialises in manufacturing parts for drill rigs, mine trucks, and loaders, in addition to offering comprehensive rebuilds, repairs, and related services for mining equipment.

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Eventspec brings over twenty years of reputable industry experience to the table. The company employs around 120 staff members and has built a strong reputation within the mining sector. In the fiscal year ending 2025, Eventspec achieved revenues of approximately ZAR280 million ($16.6 million). Its customer base primarily consists of mining companies operating in South Africa.

The integration of Eventspec into the Epiroc Group is expected to enhance service levels for existing customers and create new opportunities for employee career development. Epiroc anticipates that this acquisition will strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and expand its portfolio of spare parts and related services throughout the African region and beyond.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary regulatory filings and is expected in the early part of the September quarter of 2026. The transaction does not require disclosure under the EU Market Abuse Regulation.

The acquisition will be incorporated into Epiroc’s Equipment & Service Business Area and recorded under the Service revenue stream.
